The photo atleft shows my grandmother, Mary Agnes Egan Connor flanked by her sons,Jim (l) and Tom (r) and her first two grandsons, Danny Drew (l) (the writer)and Billy Drew.

The photo was taken on the front steps of thefamily's apartment (#17) in Hampton Court, 1512 N. Meridian, in 1944, justa year or so before Tom was killed in action.
